Il Dott. Andrea Nini è Senior Lecturer e Professore Associato in Linguistica e Lingua Inglese presso l'Università di Manchester. Nel 2018, ha pubblicato An Authorship analysis of the Jack the Ripper letters su Digital Scholarship in the Humanities, in cui ha analizzato 209 lettere e cartoline inviate alla polizia e ai giornali che affermavano di essere state scritte da "Jack the Ripper".e ha concluso che molte erano bufale giornalistiche, a sostegno delle affermazioni fatte da Sir Robert Anderson, Melville Macnaughten e dall'Ispettore Capo Littlechild.
